J and I are getting the hang of packing up all the "necessities" for The Kid to head out to the beach. Now instead of carrying 10 bags, we have maybe 3 and his board. LOL!
Yesterday was a beautiful day so we packed The Kid up, loaded the truck and headed down to the beach. Although the beach park was crowded, we found parking very fast. It was further away from where we usually hang out, but it was parking.
D seems to be enjoying the water. Initially he is a little shocked with the temperature, but we ease him in so he can adjust. Yesterday, he was even smiling at times while we were wading with him. After a while he started to fuss a little, so we took him out and camped out under our canopy. J left to go surf with a few of our friends and I hung out with D. I need to get back out into the surf... =( I'm starting to really miss it.
Our beach days are getting longer and longer as D starts to get older and better acclimated.
My friend L teaches little kids how to swim. She agreed to teach D once he's old enough to learn. =) Can't wait for D to be old enough to paddle out with J and I!

You guys are so blessed to have that so close to home. The nearest shoreline to us is 6 hours away and it's the gulf...nowhere near the same. *sigh*
ReplyDeletewe were gonna go today, but we were so tired and took a nap instead. LOL gonna go tomorrow! we have chiropractor at 11:30am and then i wanna head over to kahala to get her some swimmer pants and then we're gonna head to the beach! :D
